How Platform Affordances Shape Expression Effects: Comment Length and Audience in Political News Engagement
ABSTRACT This experiment (N = 775) examined how commenting affordances shape expression effects in political news. Participants were assigned to conditions that varied comment length (short vs. long) and audience type (private, public, ingroup, or outgroup) on a simulated news platform.
Multimodal deep learning integrating ultrasonographic and clinical data for enhanced rotator cuff tear identification

Risk factors for denosumab-related osteonecrosis of the jaw: a pharmacovigilance study using the U.S. FDA adverse event reporting system database
1 Introduction Denosumab, a fully human monoclonal antibody, exerts its therapeutic effect by selectively binding to the receptor activator of nuclear factor kappa-B ligand (RANKL), thereby inhibiting osteoclast formation, function, and survival. This mechanism underpins its clinical utility in reducing bone resorption, making it a cornerstone in the management of osteoporosis, bone metastases, and other metabolic bone disorders (1).
Dietary Glycemic Index, Glycemic Load, and Risk of Lung Cancer: A Population-Based Cohort Study
Abstract BACKGROUND There is considerable inconsistency regarding study results on the association of dietary glycemic index (GI) and glycemic load (GL) with lung cancer risk. We aimed to investigate this relation in the US National Cancer Institute’s Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian (PLCO) Cancer Screening Trial cohort. METHODS Baseline characteristics were collected with the baseline questionnaire, and diet was assessed with the diet history questionnaire.

Stress-induced reduction of sodium leak currents causes social deficits by impairing dorsal dentate gyrus-medial septum glutamatergic projection - Molecular Psychiatry
Abstract Stress-induced social deficits are related with the malfunction of dentate gyrus (DG). However, the exact molecular mechanism and/or neural circuit of DG participated in social impairments induced by chronic stress is not fully known. Here, we report that the sodium leak channel (NALCN) reduction in the dorsal DG (dDG) but not the ventral DG (vDG) induces social deficits of chronic stress through lowering the excitability and the firings of the glutamatergic neurons.

The Impact of Terrain on the Planar Spatial Morphology of Mountain Settlements Studied Using Fractal Dimensions
1. Introduction In China, with the advancement of urbanization and the development of rural revitalization strategies, traditional settlements are confronted with the conflicting challenges of preservation and renewal. The urgency to protect these traditional settlements during the renewal process is paramount. The value of preserving traditional settlements lies in both the high-value individual buildings and courtyards within them, as well as their overall spatial configuration [1,2].

Sharing without clicking on news in social media - Nature Human Behaviour
Abstract Social media have enabled laypersons to disseminate, at scale, links to news and public affairs information. Many individuals share such links without first reading the linked information. Here we analysed over 35 million public Facebook posts with uniform resource locators shared between 2017 and 2020, and discovered that such ‘shares without clicks’ (SwoCs) constitute around 75% of forwarded links.

Spectral Model for Crowd Walking Load
Downloaded 0 times Technical Papers Abstract Crowd walking is a common daily activity that can cause large vibrations on slender structures such as footbridges and long-span floors. Although modeling of crowd walking loads is critical in structural response prediction, this type of modeling is considered difficult due to the randomness in pedestrian walking gaits, temporal-spatial variation of walking procedures, and technical difficulties in crowd walking experiments.
