2. Results 2.1. BspF Promotes the Crotonylation of TRIM38 In our previous study, K142 of TRIM38 was crotonylated by BspF [11]. Therefore, we cloned the gene of TRIM38 and inserted it into the pCMV-Tag2B vector to obtain FLAG-TRIM38 recombinant plasmid, which was co-transfected with pCMV-HA-BspF into HEK-293T cells. The cells were harvested and immunoprecipitated using a FLAG antibody, and the crotonylation of TRIM38 was detected.
