Lawmakers have demanded a meeting with the sport, public works and finance ministers after accusing the government of “making a mockery” of the budget committee reviewing the funding of a planned Luxembourg sports museum. Members of parliament that sit on the budget implementation committee said ministers provided “absolutely unsatisfactory” answers to a written catalogue of questions.

Details have emerged of a new €210 million project to build a new international school and a boarding school, including facilities specially tailored to the needs of athletes, in Mondorf-les-Bains. Minister for Mobility and Public Works Yuriko Backes submitted the bill for the construction of the new complex to parliament just before the Christmas break.
