Release or Pull or Leave It Alone?

I‘ve read that one should not go to a release trigger until they have to. I’ve had a wee bit of flinching, one time per box or so. I’ve got an old BT that I shoot on occasion, and put a release trigger in it. The results were eye opening. No more flinch and I went straight today for the first time in a long time. Now I’ve run around 5 boxes through it with no issues. Feels natural. Now I recently picked up an 825 and I’m still tinkering with it to get it to shoot how I like it. It has pull triggers.

Another Steven Rademacher Repair that is flawless

#1 · The BT 99 Golden Clays pictured was broken half in two at the grip. Some idiot ran a forklift fork through the package and broke it clean. I recommended Steven to the owner and vouched for him. The results you see are absolutely stunning. He would have to say how he did it, but basically a large pin, glue, checkering, and finish. That’s the short version. I swear the man is an absolute genius. I have a background in woodworking but I couldn’t do what he did. Absolutely amazing.

If It Fits, Shoot It!

I’ve read a good bit on the forums about shotgun fit. Folks said if it fits you don’t need beads. I always thought that’s BS. I’ve always needed them to relate to the birds location. Had many shotguns over the years and never had an issue until I started shooting trap. I can’t really explain how I shot but something similar to aiming. I always knew exactly where the bead was in relation to the bird, and when the gap looked right, I pulled the trigger.
