Attack ads about Sheehy are disingenuous
In recent weeks, Sen. Jon Tester’s campaign has devolved into ad hominem attacks on Tim Sheehy, most of which have no relevance to the issues that are important to Montanans. The latest of these unwarranted attacks came as a full-page ad in my local paper where the headline screamed “Sheehy’s plan closes Pioneer Medical Center.” I call horsepucky on that one! That ad is a near carbon copy to an attack ad directed at me in 2018.

How to rebuild the behavorial health system? Tell us.
No Montana community is untouched by the mental health crisis. Suicide. Addiction. Loneliness. The struggle to find mental health services or appropriate supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. Patients receiving care in places that aren’t best for them. The list of challenges facing our communities is long and years in the making, and the time for setting that list aside is over.

Clarifying the facts as I see them on the 95 mills property tax increase
Recently opinion pieces and information sent to legislators regarding the counties decision to levy 77.9 mills instead of the State directed 95 mills has been circulating in both statewide newspapers, and internal legislative correspondence. It appears that the message being distributed is counties are giving large tax breaks to corporations and out of state homeowners while doing little for the average Montanan.

Legislature’s health care investments will help Montana families
We would wager that nearly every Montana family has struggled in some way with mental health, diabetes, or postpartum health care. The 2023 Legislature made unprecedented investments in all three of those areas that together will positively impact families in every corner of our state. Not only did we both vote for all of these reforms, but one of us (Senator Jason Small) sponsored the diabetes legislation.
