For some time now I've been working with the Frosthaven team to learn their processes and see the game's virtual evolution. I checked in with Hristo Petkov, the Game Director for Frosthaven after the announcement of an October 15th launch for the game's full launch. Below are the contents of our discussion, along with some specifics on what's going to be ready when the game is live. GT: What are the major changes since the last update?

Axe Cop: the videogame is an incredible, if flawed, experience that’s flown under the radar far too long. I’m frankly amazed at how well it ties together its themes, mechanics, and many disparate influences to function as an adaptation. I don’t even know how much of this is intentional, but the more I dug into the game the more I found a depth that I found I had been seeking for some time.

As Frosthaven prepares to leave Early Access, Snapshot Games and Cephalofair Games have just released their third and final major content update, titled “Into the Abyss.” I had the chance to talk with one of the developers about what’s changing, and how the team decides to target its resources. I discussed some of this philosophy in my article last year, but it's clear that the game has developed immensely since then.
