Syracuse.com and The Post-Standard were the top winners in the New York News Publishers Association 2023 Awards of Excellence. The Advance Media New York content, marketing and advertising teams won 20 awards, more than any other publisher in New York. The marketing and advertising teams won six awards, with creative campaigns on such varied topics as regional airports and lead-poisoning awareness.

Syracuse.com and The Post-Standard won 13 awards in the 2022 New York News Publishers Association’s Awards of Excellence. It’s the most of any newsroom in New York. The winners include a wide range of written and visual storytelling, covering some of the top community issues of the year: Micron’s selection of Clay for a new factory, a proposed merger of two Syracuse hospitals and a horrific failure of Oswego County’s system to protect children from neglect, among others.
