Innisfail's new public library manager hails from Penhold

INNISFAIL – The town’s celebrated ‘Community Living Room’ has a new but already known caretaker. Kendrya Wiebe was assistant manager at the Innisfail Public Library for three years but as of June 23 she is now the full manager. Lorna Johnson, chair of the board for the Innisfail Public Library, said Wiebe agreed to be library interim manager following the resignation of Amy Ramsay in February. She said the board was impressed with her performance.

Innisfail 4-H Multi-Club acts out Grimm Spectaculathon

INNISFAIL - Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm surely would have been proud. Eleven kids from the Innisfail 4-H Multi-Club were on stage pulling off Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon; a unique live play written by American playwright Don Zolidis. It’s a madcap comedy centred around a pair of narrators trying to put together all 209 Grimm fairy tales into a single hilarious story.

INNISFAIL - James O'Dwyer fully understands the importance of his 40th Annual Innisfail Rotary Club Charity Golf Classic. He was the chair of the 2026 event on July 2 at the Innisfail Golf Club as his service club continues to move forward on what may be the biggest fundraising project it has ever taken on. “It's definitely ambitious,” said O’Dwyer.
