John Adams’s Biography
John S. Adams is the founding editor of the Montana Free Press, a Helena-based nonprofit news organization focused on in-depth investigative reporting and statehouse news coverage.
Adams was formerly the Capital Bureau Chief for the Great Falls Tribune and a correspondent for USA TODAY. Prior to that, he was a staff writer for the Missoula Independent.
Adams's award-winning news stories have appeared in national and international publications. Adams is known throughout the state as a dogged investigator whose hard-hitting, unbiased reporting has changed the shape of Montana politics
