John Seven’s Biography

I am the former arts and entertainment editor at the North Adams Transcript, and my work has appeared in a number of publications including the Boston Globe, Berkshire Magazine, Berkshire Eagle, Take Magazine, Hill Country Observer, Publishers Weekly, The Comics Journal, Salem Evening News, Worcester Magazine, and others.

I am currently the streaming television and movie reviewer for the Berkshire Eagle and a comics reviewer at The Comics Beat, along with my other arts journalism.

I am also the author of 12 children’s books author including the notorious A Rule Is To Break: A Child’s Guide To Anarchy and Happy Punks 123, the world’s first punk rock picture book. My children’s picture book biography of Frank Sinatra, Frankie Liked To Sing, was published by Abrams Books for his 100th birthday, and with a Sinatra family endorsement. My most recent books is We Say No! A Child's Guide To Resistance.

My first book was a collection of travel essays called Four Go Mad In Massachusetts, a memoir told through day trips in the Bay State.
