How to quickly uncover friction points in your consumers’ digital journeys - CUInsight
During one of our recent credit union digital marketing engagements, we assessed the online application and onboarding process for a mid-sized financial institution. In the initial phase of the engagement, we identified several friction points in our evaluation, from the website to the online application and finally in the onboarding process.
Why your credit union should stop marketing, stop selling, and start helping - CUInsight
Over the past five years, we’ve been hearing about the disruption of banking resulting from an evolving consumer and the rise of non-traditional competitors. Now, much of this debate has revolved around the purpose and future of the branch. Will the branch die? Will it stay? Will it change? But throughout these conversations, the most important element that should be driving these debates has been lost. Re-enter the consumer.
Five ways to use guided selling to enhance your credit union website
The digital path to most credit union website product pages involves navigation bars, drop-down menus, and secondary pages. This is the standard “Point A leads to Point B that leads to Point C” and so on and so forth. Sure, there’s nothing wrong with this execution as this has been a standard in web usability for the past decade.
There are only 7 ways to tell your credit union’s digital story - CUInsight
There is an art to storytelling. And there’s also a science behind it. To understand both of these aspects requires an understanding of the elements of storytelling. Yes, we’re going back to the basics of your junior high school literature class. Understanding and implementing these concepts will help you use digital marketing to tell stories that sell by emotionally connecting with the consumers in your community.
Four things to consider when building your new credit union website - CUInsight
Last month, I wrote an article about the process we take to build a credit union websites in just four months. This establishes our thinking when it comes to CU Grow’s process to build websites that sell and will help to provide context for the information below. So while it’s not required reading, I would highly encourage you to review this article before venturing onward. Building your new credit union website should be treated as a process.
How to build a credit union website that sells in just four months - CUInsight
I can already hear the skepticism. “You can build a credit union website in four months?” My response is, “Actually, in the last six months, we’ve launched three new credit union websites, each with an average development time of just under four months.” “From scratch?” “Outside of a few paragraphs of content, most which were disclosures, yes. From scratch.” This isn’t hyperbole. And this is certainly not insanity.
So what exactly is content marketing?
Initially for this post, I was going to provide several ideas on how credit unions could enhance their content marketing efforts with a unified strategy. This topic came to mind when reviewing that data compiled from our report on the State of Digital Marketing for Credit Union and Community Banks in 2014.
