Suspense over whether Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz and give up its enriched uranium and nuclear weapons programs expired on Tuesday last week without incident. President Trump said the U.S. was “ locked and loaded ” to launch an operation against Iran that would have been the “biggest attack since World War II.” He also said this was Tehran's “ last chance ” and that the regime faced “ decapitation ” if they didn't make a deal.

My wife and I departed Oahu Wednesday afternoon as news that Tropical Storm Lara is bearing down on the Hawaiian Islands – likely becoming a Category I Hurricane before it makes landfall on the Big Island on Saturday. Our thoughts and prayers are with Hawaii. Puerto Rico could use the rain though.
