Sun, January 25, 2026 at 1:18 PM Our winter storm is underway across the Triad. Overnight we saw sleet and snow which continued into this morning, keeping freezing rain at bay. After a little lull early afternoon, we'll be watching another batch of heavy freezing rain, maybe even thunder ice move in. Temperatures well slowly rise this afternoon and evening into the mid and upper 20s but stay below freezing. That heavy precipitation could add 1/4" to just under 1/2" of freezing rain.
