(WBBJ) - Andrew Jackson Elementary School is wrapping up preparations for the new school year, with staff unveiling a camping-themed approach they are calling “Camp AJX.” As part of the theme launch, students participated in a bear hunt event that took them to different locations throughout the building. JACKSON, Tenn. (WBBJ) - Miss Tennessee Volunteer contestants gathered at the DoubleTree Hotel on Monday for a luncheon hosted by the Old Hickory Rotary Club ahead of this week’s pageant competition. Contestants and Rotarians mingled over a catered meal before the pageant director and current Miss Tennessee Volunteer, Meghan Poore, delivered remarks. Each contestant was also given an opportunity to introduce herself at the end of the event.
