KINGWOOD, W.Va. (WBOY) — The Preston County Commission received a significant boost to its finances on Wednesday as West Virginia State Treasurer Larry Pack arrived to present it with an unclaimed property check worth $58,779.85. According to the State Treasurer’s Office, this money consists primarily of stale-dated checks from state agencies, such as the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) and the West Virginia State Auditor’s Office.
