Area softball players earn TSWA All-State honors

Seven area softball players were named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) All-State Team, announced on Wednesday. Four Lady Tornadoes from the TSSAA State Champions earned All-State honors — seniors Halle Bailey, Da’Ja Casby and Kaylea Osborne, and sophomore Raya Inge — on the Class 3A team. The seniors Bailey, Casby and Osborne, all collegiate signees, helped Alcoa avenge last season’s state runner-up finish by winning a title in 2026 — the Lady Tornadoes’ first in four seasons.

Area baseball players earn TSWA All-State honors

Four area baseball players were named to the 2026 Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) All-State Team announced on Tuesday. Alcoa led the county with two selections. Junior pitcher Myles Cox earned TSWA honors for a second consecutive seasons, while senior first baseman Miles Watson made the team for the first time in his career.
