I'm the author of the book Chief Marketing Officers at Work: How Top Marketers Build Customer Loyalty (Apress, 2016), 60 Days to LinkedIn Mastery (Taft, 2021) which became a USA Today and WSJ bestseller, and I've written 300+ articles for Time, TechCrunch, Mashable, Fortune, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, VentureBeat, and other publications. I also once co-authored a Harvard Business School case study.

What was your first job as a journalist?

I became a Forbes contributor mid-2013.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes! I learned how to type on an old-fashioned typewriter in Mrs. Nunez' typing class at Dana Jr. High in Arcadia, CA. Best class ever.

How is social media changing news?

Power is increasingly bottom-up instead of top-down as in the past.
