Hundreds of people have attended the first major musical performance at an Edinburgh park in over eighty years. On Saturday afternoon, Edinburgh Brass Band entertained crowds at the open-air amphitheatre in Morningside's Braidburn Park. According to the Friends of Braidburn Park, this was the first time the amphitheatre has been used for a large-scale performance since the 1940s, around a decade after it was built.

My first job in journalism was at The Gaudie Student Newspaper. I began in June of 2021.

How is social media changing news?

It's requiring output to be quicker, and allows for greater communication between journalists and the public.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Being a journalist means I can hold the powerful to account, and highlight the voices of the marginalised through my reporting.
