A decision regarding the proposal to build a new stand-alone emergency room in The Acreage was postponed by the Palm Beach County Commission on Thursday, March 26. The project, proposed by HCA Florida Palms West Hospital, would construct a 24-hour medical facility near the southeast corner of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road and Orange Blvd., which is near a residential area.

Former Councilwoman Selena Samios has returned to the Royal Palm Beach Village Council after a razor-thin election victory Tuesday, March 10. Samios took 1,175 votes (50.98 percent) to narrowly unseat incumbent Councilman Adam Miller in the Group 1 race. Miller took 1,130 votes (49.02 percent). Just over 2,300 voters took part in the election.
