Piyush Was India’s Global Creative Ambassador, Says Josy Paul
Piyush was India’s global creative ambassador. He carried India’s creative soul into every global forum he entered - with humility, humour, and a sparkle in his eye that said, “Wait till you see what we can do.” Piyush gave Indian advertising its own authentic voice. He helped a nation recognise itself in its own words, sounds, and rhythms. Piyush’s work didn’t just sell products, it told the story of who we are.

The element of luck
The element of luck I am here in Las Vegas to judge the LIA Awards. I am on the Creative Strategy and Business Transformation jury. This is our second day of judging. I’ve seen about 350 pieces of work along with a highly accomplished jury led by Suzanne Powers, former global chief strategy officer, McCann Worldgroup. The shortlist is already done. Tomorrow, we decide the winners. And this is where Las Vegas makes a difference. Because whether we like it or not, sometimes winning is a gamble.

Since the dawn of commercial communications, gender stereotypes have dictated women's portrayal in Indian advertising; however, it has also seen a lot of evolution. Back in the day, when advertising was a Mad Men’s world, people saw advertisements from a man’s perspective. In the Indian context, women have often long been portrayed as aides, providing support for men to accomplish their goals, or have been subjected to objectification.

30 women who have impacted Swati Bhattacharya’s life
In the grand narrative of life, heroes come in various shapes and forms. They aren't always the caped crusaders or the knights in shining armour; sometimes, they are right beside us, in the familiar guise of family. For me, that hero is none other than my sister, Dr. Bela Kotwani. She epitomizes the essence of a hero not through grand gestures or extraordinary feats, but through her profound ability to embrace life with unparalleled vigour and joy.
Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages’ film celebrates women in manufacturing sector
I remember when I first met Lady Luck. It was at St Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She was standing outside the library. She invited me to do a poster for the reference books section. I tried to explain to her that I was there to study Physics. She said I can do both. That started my life as a writer. I think Lady Luck believed in me more than I believed in myself. She was always there to nudge me to do stuff I wasn’t so sure about.
From ironing boards to boardrooms: The tedious journey of Indian women in ads
Luminous Power Technologies as part of their inspiring campaign #WomenInEnergy, today launched a digital film on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The film, narrated from a child’s point of view beautifully captures the stereotypes and biases prevalent in the mindset of society for women in certain domestic settings like the terrace of a household.
To the woman who has been my source of support: Lady Luck
Recognition is currency and awards the manifestation of an agency’s glory in the glitzy world of advertising. Every year, the industry spends millions of rupees in sending entries to coveted award functions, planning their case studies meticulously, and celebrating each win with gusto. Just last year, the Indian ad land sent 809 entries to Cannes Lions, most expensive advertising festival to enter.

My most memorable Cannes experience - Exchange4media

I was staying with Ajai Jhala (our CEO and founding partner) at our office apartment in Gurgaon at that time. The WhatsApp message came from Tista Sen followed immediately from Marcello Serpa.
