Distinct genetic perturbations at the endogenous Atf4 locus uncouple polyadenylation loss from transcriptional readthrough
Abstract Transcription termination by RNA polymerase II (RNAPII) is coupled to co-transcriptional cleavage and polyadenylation directed by the canonical AAUAAA polyadenylation signal (PAS). However, the in vivo requirement of the canonical PAS for termination fidelity remains unclear. Here, we dissect PAS-dependent termination at the endogenous Atf4 locus using complementary mouse models.
A narrow developmental window defines PKN2’s essential role in ventricular chamber morphogenesis
Abstract Protein kinase N2 (PKN2) is essential for embryonic heart development, but the precise timing and cellular requirement in cardiomyocytes are not well understood.

Cellular Signalling Networks in High Altitude Pulmonary Hypertension: From Canonical Pathways to Emerging Targets
1 Introduction Plateaus are natural laboratories of sustained hypobaric hypoxia. Above 2500 m, the nearly linear decline in barometric pressure reduces the inspired partial pressure of oxygen, elevating mean pulmonary artery pressure (mPAP) by about 3 mmHg for every 300 m gained [1].

Illuminating understudied kinases: a generalizable biosensor development method applied to protein kinase N - Communications Biology
Abstract Protein kinases play crucial roles in regulating cellular processes, making real-time visualization of their activity essential for understanding signaling dynamics. While genetically encoded fluorescent biosensors have emerged as powerful tools for studying kinase activity, their development for many kinases remains challenging due to the lack of suitable substrate peptides.

Research on the Outgoing Audit and Evaluation of Water Resource Assets of Leadership Cadres in City Y
1. Introduction Water is the fundamental basis for human survival and development [,]. Currently, 10% of the global population resides in countries facing severe water stress, with 80% of sewage discharged untreated. On a global scale, 2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, while 3.6 billion lack well-managed sanitation [].
Improvement of melt viscosity and compatibility of polyglycolic acid (PGA)/polylactic acid (PLA) blend via reactive blending with bifunctional and multifunctional hybrid chain extender
Abstract The low melt viscosity and melt strength of polyglycolic acid (PGA) severely limit its application. In this work, high melt viscosity PGA/PLA blends are prepared by reactive extrusion of bifunctional isocyanate (HDI) and multifunctional epoxy oligomer (ADR) as chain extenders. The use of hybrid chain extender (hCE) containing 2 wt% HDI and 1 wt% ADR results in a long chain branched/cross-linked structure, thus increasing melt viscosity more effectively than HDI or ADR alone.

Valley splitting in the antiferromagnetic heterostructure MnPSe3/WSe2
Valley splitting in the antiferromagnetic heterostructure MnPSe3/WSe2 The spin degeneracy in antiferromagnets hinders the spin splitting valleys, which limits their applications in spintronic and valleytronic devices.
Ribonuclease-dependent cleavable beacon primer triggering DNA amplification for single nucleotide mutation detection with ultrahigh sensitivity and selectivity
Ribonuclease-dependent cleavable beacon primer triggering DNA amplification for single nucleotide mutation detection with ultrahigh sensitivity and selectivity We described a ribonuclease-dependent cleavable beacon primer, an energy-transfer-tagged oligonucleotide inserted with a ribonucleotide, which can be cleaved by ribonuclease to generate enhanced fluorescence signals and initiate DNA amplification for single nucleotide mutation detection with ultrahigh sensitivity and selectivity.

Excited State Magnetic Exchange Interactions Enable Large Spin Polarization Effects
Excited state processes involving multiple electron spin centers are crucial elements for both spintronics and quantum information processing. Herein, we describe an addressable excited state mechanism for precise control of electron spin polarization. This mechanism derives from excited state magnetic exchange couplings that occur between the electron spins of a photogenerated electron–hole pair and that of an organic radical.
Tissue-Specific Cell Cycle Indicator Reveals Unexpected Findings for Cardiac Myocyte Proliferation
Methods and Results: To facilitate studies of cell type–specific proliferation, we have generated tissue-specific cell cycle indicator BAC transgenic mouse lines. Experiments using embryonic fibroblasts from CyclinA2-LacZ-floxed-EGFP, or CyclinA2-EGFP mice, demonstrated that CyclinA2-βgal and CyclinA2-EGFP were expressed from mid-G1 to mid-M phase. Using Troponin T-Cre;CyclinA2-LacZ-EGFP mice, we examined cardiac myocyte cell cycle activity during embryogenesis and in the early postnatal period.
