It is almost inconceivable to me to see the progress in advanced prostate cancer over the past 20 years. It was in 2004 that Docetaxel was FDA-approved for use in front line castrate resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) [1]. Before then we had nothing to extend survival in this disease state. But then starting in 2010 with Provenge (sipuleucel-T) the floodgates opened over the past decade and a half with new therapeutics to fill our tool box [2].
