MINNEAPOLIS — Ever heard the childhood rhyme, “so-and-so sitting in a tree… k-i-s-s-i-n-g?” For Parker Fox and Taylor Heise, that tree wasn’t imaginary. It was the “Tree House,” the nickname for the Gopher women’s hockey house near the University of Minnesota campus. That’s where their story begins. You might already know their names. Fox, a Mahtomedi native, transferred to the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's basketball program in 2021.

ST PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota native Taylor Heise is already a star on the ice for her hometown (and two-time champion) Minnesota Frost hockey team. Now, she's looking to represent her country at the Olympics for the first time. "I feel like the last time that I was able to do this and obviously didn't go the way that I wanted it to," Heise said, having tried out unsuccessfully for Team USA in 2022.

MINNEAPOLIS — Kendall Coyne-Schofield reputation is the "fastest woman in hockey." Speed is her superpower. So it's little surprise the Minnesota Frost captain is making a bid to return to the Olympic games in Milan-Cortina with the U.S. Women's Hockey team. "So excited. Obviously, we have a process to get there," Coyne-Schofield explained in an interview with KARE 11's Julia Daniels.
