Multi-particle size measurement using Mie scattering via an elliptically arranged mirror array

Laser sources have been used to measure micro-scale particle sizes, and various measurement approaches, such as laser diffraction analysis (LDA) and nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA), have been proposed. This paper introduces, to our knowledge, a novel method that overcomes problems in both of those approaches while successfully combining their advantages. Our approach can estimate the three-dimensional positions of particles floating in water along with their sizes.
