Efficacy and safety of 24 antibiotics for group A streptococcal pharyngitis: a network meta-analysis of 64 randomized controlled trials
Abstract Background and aims: Penicillin remains the first-line therapy for group A streptococcal (GAS) pharyngitis. However, broad-spectrum antibiotics continue to be widely prescribed in clinical practice. This study aimed to evaluate the relative efficacy and safety profiles of antibiotics for GAS pharyngitis. Methods: Literature published through March 2026 was searched.
Efficacy and safety of direct oral anticoagulants in pediatric patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Thromboembolic events (TE) are increasingly recognized in pediatric patients, necessitating optimal antithrombotic therapy. While direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) offer potential advantages over standard of care (SOC) such as heparin, comprehensive evidence regarding their use for treatment and prophylaxis remains limited. Therefore, we performed a systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of these two classes of anticoagulants.
FTO/m6A mediates miR-138-5p maturation and regulates gefitinib resistance of lung adenocarcinoma cells by miR-138-5p/LCN2 axis - BMC Cancer
Two human LUAD cell lines (A549 and H1650) were purchased from American Type Culture Collection (USA). The cells were grown in RPMI-1640 medium (Gibco, USA) supplemented with 10% FBS (Gibco, USA) and 1% penicillin-streptomycin (Sangon Biotech, China) at 37 °C in an incubator with 5% CO2. As previously described [29], the gefitinib-resistant LUAD cell lines (A549/GR and H1650/GR) were established through culturing LUAD cells with stepwise-increasing concentration of gefitinib (Selleck, USA).
