Writing about Robotics for JStor while completing my Ph.D.

Yes, as a child, I used a typewriter. I was twelve years old when my family first got a PC.
How is social media changing news?
Social media has made the need to evaluate the legitimacy of news sources more explicit.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
I do not have a favourite fictional journalist. I primarily read nonfiction.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I am always trying new software and changing up what I use.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love breaking down complex topics into easily digestible concepts. Journalism allows me to reach a larger audience than academia.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, I did not work for the high school newspaper, but I was part of the AV club.
When's the best time to pitch you?
The best time to pitch me would be in the morning Monday through Thursday. I am able to quickly respond to inquiries during these times.
What's your favorite drink?
My caffeine of choice would be tea. I am partial to a good glass of whiskey. And also love a good IPA or delicate Kölsch.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Nose in a book, playing video games, or in the garden.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most common misperception about technology is that it is difficult to understand.
