Stay Golden announces Silent Covenant
Stay Golden has built virtual worlds, Burning Man structures and a place inside TOTEM Society, and now he’s building his first record for All Day I Dream. Silent Covenant, seven tracks, came out August 14 on Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream imprint. It’s his long-awaited debut there. The record still carries the emotion and sense of escape the label’s known for. But Stay Golden leans harder into rhythm, a funk-inflected, groove-first strain of indie dance with real emphasis on movement.
Lee Burridge Shares His First Solo Single Since 2021, 'Fading Out'
A four-decade veteran of melodic house and techno, Lee Burridge follows Bianco Montana with ‘Fading Out,’ a new single on his own All Day I Dream. Burridge has spent that stretch turning house and techno into something with real feeling, played and heard well beyond his own club nights. All Day I Dream, the label he’s built, has been home since 2011. ‘Fading Out’ settles into something warm and unhurried, ethereal textures drifting over a deep house pulse that never rushes.

The unique structure, novel biological mechanism, and clinical importance of the antitumor agent paclitaxel has been attracting a great deal of interest in the isolation of structurally novel and biologically active taxanes from plants in the genus Taxus [1]. Since 1960s, extensive phytochemical studies have been carried out to isolate bioactive taxane diterpenoids from the plant materials of T. brevifolia, T. baccata, T. cuspidata, T. canadensis, T. chinensis, T. mairei, T. yunnanensis, and T.
Type-I and type-II superconductivity in the noncentrosymmetric compound ${\mathrm{Ir}}_{2}{\mathrm{Ga}}_{9}$
We have performed magnetization, specific heat, and muon spin relaxation (μSR) measurements on single crystals of the noncentrosymmetric superconductor Ir2Ga9. The isothermal magnetization measurements show that there is a crossover from type-I to type-II superconductivity with decreasing temperature. Potential multiband superconductivity of Ir2Ga9 is observed in the specific heat data.

NH3, a pivotal chemical product and also an innovative hydrogen carrier, finds widespread applications in industry and agriculture [1], [2], [3], [4]. As of now, NH3 is predominantly produced industrially using the Haber–Bosch method, which, however, is conducted under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions, leading to the significant energy depletion and CO2 emission [5], [6], [7].
THE EFFECT OF TELE-YOGA ON PHYSICAL FITNESS AND MENTAL HEALTH OF IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC
Introduction: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a group of symptoms manifesting as a functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorder. Patients experience abdominal pain, discomfort, and bloating, often relieved with defecation. IBS is often associated with a host of secondary comorbidities such as anxiety, depression, headaches, and fatigue. There was very limited literature investigating the influence of exercise on IBS.
Spatially multiplexed single-molecule translocations through a nanopore at controlled speeds - Nature Nanotechnology
Abstract In current nanopore-based label-free single-molecule sensing technologies, stochastic processes influence the selection of translocating molecule, translocation rate and translocation velocity. As a result, single-molecule translocations are challenging to control both spatially and temporally.

Black Ultra‐Thin Crystalline Silicon Wafers Reach the 4n2 Absorption Limit-Application to IBC Solar Cells
Abstract Cutting costs by progressively decreasing substrate thickness is a common theme in the crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry for the last decades, since drastically thinner wafers would significantly reduce the substrate-related costs. In addition to the technological challenges concerning wafering and handling of razor-thin flexible wafers, a major bottleneck is to maintain high absorption in those thin wafers.

Abstract The successful synthesis of superconducting infinite-layer nickelate thin films with the highest Tc ≈ 15 K has ignited great enthusiasm for this material class as potential analogs of the high-Tc cuprates. Pursuing a higher Tc is always an imperative task in studying a new superconducting material system.
Competition between charge-density-wave and superconductivity in the kagome metal $\mathrm{Rb}{\mathrm{V}}_{3}{\mathrm{Sb}}_{5}$
Abstract The interplay between charge-density-wave (CDW) order and superconductivity (SC) in the kagome metal RbV3Sb5 is studied by tracking the evolutions of their transition temperatures T* and Tc as a function of pressure (P) via measurements of resistivity and magnetic susceptibility under various hydrostatic pressures up to ∼5 GPa. It is found that the CDW order at T* experiences a subtle modification at Pc1≈1.5GPa before it is completely suppressed around Pc2≈2.4GPa. Accordingly, the...

Abstract No. 520 Clinical characteristics, imaging manifestations, and outcomes of patients undergoing percutaneous cholecystostomy tube placement for acute cholecystitis in the setting of COVID-19 infection
The COVID pandemic resulted in a surge of critically ill patients to New York hospitals. COVID is associated with a systemic inflammatory response that can result in abnormal laboratory parameters and imaging findings of cholestasis, making the diagnosis and treatment of cholecystitis difficult Given the shift to nonsurgical approaches for patients with COVID, interventional radiology (IR) became even more critical in the management of these patients.
A polarization encoded photon-to-spin interface
Abstract We propose an integrated photonics device for mapping qubits encoded in the polarization of a photon onto the spin state of a solid-state defect coupled to a photonic crystal cavity: a “polarization-encoded photon-to-spin interface” (PEPSI). We perform a theoretical analysis of the state fidelity’s dependence on the device’s polarization extinction ratio and atom–cavity cooperativity. Furthermore, we explore the rate-fidelity trade-off through analytical and numerical models.
Criterion for optimizing high-power acousto-optically Q-switched self-Raman yellow lasers with repetition rates up to 500 kHz
Abstract The criterion for optimizing the high-power acousto-optically ${Q}$-switched self-Raman yellow laser is originally explored for the repetition rate within 100–500 kHz. The minimum allowed value for the gate-open time is experimentally verified to be determined by the pulse buildup time. By using the minimum allowed gate-open time, the highest conversion efficiency can be achieved to raise the output power by approximately 20% in comparison with the conventional results.

Observation of second sound in graphite at temperatures above 100 K
Between the two extremes of ballistic and diffusive lattice thermal transport is the potential for an exotic wave-like state known as second sound. Huberman et al. used fast, transient thermal grating measurements to show the existence of second sound in graphite between 85 and 125 kelvin (see the Perspective by Shi). Previous observations of second sound have been rare, confined to isotopically pure materials at very low temperatures.

Similar localization of conformational IgE epitopes on the house dust mite allergens Der p 5 and Der p 21 despite limited IgE cross‐reactivity
Due to high IgE recognition frequency and high allergenic activity, Der p 5 and Der p 21 are clinically important house dust mite (HDM) allergens. The objective of this study was to characterize the immunodominant IgE epitopes of Der p 5 and Der p 21 responsible for their high allergenic activity. A panel of 12 overlapping peptides spanning the Der p 5 and Der p 21 sequence were synthesized to search for sequential IgE epitopes by direct testing for allergic patients' IgE reactivity.
Hypoxia Inducible Transcription Factors, HIF1A and HIF2A, Increase in Aging Mucosal Tissues
Hypoxia (ie. oxygen deprivation) activates the hypoxia-signaling pathway, primarily via hypoxia inducible transcription factors (HIF) for numerous target genes, which mediate angiogenesis, metabolism, coagulation, among other processes to try to replenish tissues with blood and oxygen. Hypoxia signaling dysregulation also commonly occurs during chronic inflammation. We sampled gingival tissues from rhesus monkeys (M. mulatta; 3-25 years old) and total RNA was isolated for microarray analysis.

Olmutinib-induced palmoplantar keratoderma
olmutinib is a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), especially for those harboring T790M mutations, the most common reason for other EGFR-TKI resistance. We describe three patients who developed acquired palmoplantar keratoderma (PPK) after taking olmutinib, an adverse event which has not been reported in previous generations of EGFR-TKIs. This article is protected by copyright.

Kids, Kimonos and Cultural Appropriation
So, via Bored Panda we have a charming tale of a Utah mother throwing a themed birthday party for her child and the inevitable performative wokeness tumblr fight because “our nature is not only destitute of all good, but is so fertile in all evils that it cannot remain inactive [for] man is of himself nothing else but concupiscence.”[1] Questionable bukkake[2] joke aside, the piece transcribes the tumblr users on the right side of the argument.
The influence of combination use of CYP450 inducers on the pharmacokinetics of voriconazole: a systematic review
What is known and objectives Voriconazole is a triazole antifungal agent and is extensively metabolized via cytochrome P450 (CYP450); therefore, special precautions need to be taken when co-administered with a known CYP450 inducer, which may lead to treatment failure. The influence of some CYP450 inducers on the pharmacokinetics of voriconazole has been described in previous studies, but a systematic review was lacking.
Gamergate (with images) · Astayma · Storify
GamerGate as a whole was discussed and exercised solely on the internet. Since most of the people supporting or arguing against GamerGate are primarily blog posters, gamers, and the like. The internet was the best friend of anyone that wanted to share their opinion on the topic. Despite it's origins, GamerGate's most used social media source was Twitter. This is because of the vast majority of internet celebrities that wanted to comment or were actually involved with GamerGate.
Epigenetic suppression of potassium-chloride co-transporter 2 expression in inflammatory pain induced by complete Freund's adjuvant (CFA)
Multiple mechanisms contribute to the stimulus-evoked pain hypersensitivity that may be experienced after peripheral inflammation. Persistent pathological stimuli in many pain conditions affect the expression of certain genes through epigenetic alternations. The main purpose of our study was to investigate the role of epigenetic modification on potassium-chloride co-transporter 2 (KCC2) gene expression in the persistence of inflammatory pain.
