SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — June is Men’s Mental Health Month. It’s a time to bring awareness to men who are struggling on the inside. Board-certified psychiatrist and Utah native Dr. Josef says men typically choose to suffer in silence and can reach a breaking point which leads to unhealthy habits. He says many men will turn to “quick fixes” like drugs and alcohol, but that almost worsens the problem at hand. Sr. Josef says the suicide rate in the state is alarming.

A New Dawn Foundation is a platform that is allowing the Bradshaw family a place to turn their loss into awareness, connection and healing. They’re remembering their daughter and niece by not only sharing her story but providing resources to those struggling with mental health or domestic violence situations.
