A sewage line rupture in Haverhill has closed several North Shore beaches Tuesday during a hot holiday week, spilling millions of gallons of wastewater into the Merrimack River and affecting residents, visitors and local businesses. "It's disappointing. Everyone-- we are here for the holiday week. We spend a good amount of money to come out and hang out at the beach. We are still trying to make the best of it," said Kate Thorsen, a visitor from New York.
