Why Your Child Isn’t Talking to You
And What You Can Do About It Thanks to Be Well With Dr Jess, who suggested this article. My own bias was showing and I never would have thought to do it. I’m deeply appreciative of the emotional and cognitive challenge. I spent a decade of my life working as a hospital chaplain, and my days were sacredly chaotic. A Tuesday morning might start with an MVC in the ER and end with a spirituality group in the inpatient psychiatric unit. By lunch, I’d be with a mother reeling from a perinatal diagnosis.

I went through all the normal questions: Trauma? Fear of intimacy? Avoidant attachment? “Not really,” was the answer to all of them.

Newspaper Perpetuates Racism
To The Editor: I’m writing your paper to let you know how disappointed I am in your leadership for your choice to publish a clearly racist comic in Wednesday’s paper. Your newspaper, which continues to perpetuate racism through your platform, is not only disgraceful, but also has caused real hurt to communities of color that you serve. I hope that you can learn from this experience and critically look at what you decide to publish and who you are hiring to illustrate your comics.
