Congressman Rudy Yakym was among those in attendance. A ribbon cutting was held this morning to celebrate the project’s completion. Kalani Aaron was in Elkhart today and asked how these improvements will benefit drivers. Elkhart City Officials have called the project completion a milestone in delivering on their promise to have safer streets not just for the people driving but also the vehicles they drive.

Elkhart Memorial Day Parade honors those who died for our country

ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - The Elkhart community came together on Memorial Day to honor fallen service members with a ceremony in the morning and then a parade in the afternoon. Motorcycles, floats, and lots of American flags were all on display in Elkhart. The parade kicked off just after 2 p.m. near Main Street. The location of the festivities alone was cause of celebration for some. Businesses off of Main Street were open and ready to serve the community.
