STARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Another Indiana County is cutting ties with Flock. Sheriff Jack Rosa announced on September 8 that Starke County will not renew its contract with Flock. Rosa cited public opinion as well as too many unknowns about the use of data collected as fueling the decision. “So, we just didn’t feel comfortable with them not having any internal controls over that information. And we didn’t know for sure what they were doing with it,” Rosa said.

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA/Gray News) - Alabama authorities say a Mobile homeowner shot and killed a man who broke into the house through a window. According to Mobile police, officers responded to the home Monday night on Calgary Drive following a shots-fired call. Investigators said 37-year-old David Lee Jr. broke into the home through a window, and the homeowner then shot and killed him.

ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - One person is recovering after a house fire Tuesday night in the 1200 block of Canton Street in Elkhart. Firefighters received a call to the home around 9:50 p.m. and said they found smoke coming from the front door. They later found fire in the living room. Crews reportedly had the flames under control within about 20 minutes. Fire officials said a person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. One dog and two cats got out safely.
