Gingival swelling and diffuse mandibular osteolysis in a 57-year-old woman
Figure 3Axial views from cone-beam computed tomographic images show multiple ill-defined radiolucencies and loss of normal trabeculation. Anterior mandibular lesion has led to cortical perforation. The lesions do not appear to be resorbing or displacing the teeth. The patient reported persistent pain in the area of tooth no. 18, which has a periapical radiolucency that is indistinguishable from a periapical cyst.
