Nanoengineered PEG/acrylic acid smart hydrogels for controlled oxaliplatin delivery and enhanced biocompatibility
Abstract The current study was based on the preparation of pH-sensitive chemically cross-linked polyethylene glycol-co-poly(acrylic acid) PEGA 8000 Smart gels for colon targeting of Oxaliplatin (OXP). PEG 8000-based Smart gels were fabricated by the free radical polymerization technique. PEG 8000 was cross-linked with acrylic acid (AA) in an aqueous medium. Ammonium persulphate (APS) and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) were used as initiator and cross-linker, respectively.
Innovative Self Nano‐Emulsifying Drug Delivery Systems for Peptic Ulcer Therapy: A Review
1 Introduction Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), a highly prevalent pathogens, is recognized to colonize over half of the world's population.[1] H. pylori is a common helical Gram-negative, noninvasive, microaerophilic spiral bacterium that was successfully grown in 1983 by Marshall and Warren while analyzing biopsy samples of individuals with gastritis.[1, 2] It causes stomach problems such as peptic ulcers (PUD), chronic atrophic gastritis, and gastric cancer.[3] H.
