Poignant artwork latest to go on loan at Teesside healthcare trust

Powerful artwork depicting the five stages of grief is the latest to go on display at University Hospitals Tees. The striking piece, created by 17-year-old artist Cara Ramsey, focuses on conveying how people experience and express emotions during difficult periods of their lives. The artwork has been installed within the medical examiners office at the University Hospital of North Tees and visualises each stage of grief differently by subtle changes in colour, texture, symbolism and composition.

University Hospitals Tees hosts first advanced practice conference

Over 100 healthcare professionals from across University Hospitals Tees (UHT) came together to celebrate the contribution of enhanced, advanced and consultant level practitioners at the organisation’s first joint Advanced Practice Conference. Held in September, the conference marked a significant milestone for the organisation and demonstrated its commitment to advancing practice across nursing, midwifery, allied health professions and pharmacy.

This is the stark reminder from regional organ donation nurses at University Hospitals Tees as they appeal to communities to register their decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register. As Organ Donation Week runs from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 September, a national campaign to raise awareness about the importance of organ donation, organ donation nurses are reminding the public that more than 8,000 people need a transplant in the UK.
