Bulletin – May 2026 Australian Economy Margins, Mark-ups and Consumer Prices: Theory, Measurement and Implications
Introduction The prices that firms charge reflect two factors: their costs and their profit margin, with the margin capturing the share of revenue accruing to the firms owners after subtracting costs. Leadership grief is the sorrow of unchosen possibilities
Leaders are taught to make bold decisions. We’re trained to be decisive, to see the path ahead, to say “yes” with conviction. But we rarely talk about what is happening behind the confident face — the quiet grief that follows the yes. A few years ago, I helped to found an academic center. When we finally settled on the mission statement, I felt relieved but also sad.

Reference class forecasting: promises, problems, and a research agenda moving forward
Abstract Reference Class Forecasting (RCF) has emerged as a prominent tool to counter chronic optimism in project planning. By applying an ‘outside view’ – using distributions of comparable past projects – RCF seeks to correct overly optimistic cost and schedule estimates that undermine megaproject delivery. While its adoption has expanded in policy and practice, particularly following Flyvbjerg’s work, questions remain about its validity, applicability and limitations.

Usually, this activity is limited to sixth-12th grade students, but there was a need for a few more Whos to fill out Whoville, and fifth grade students were a perfect addition for those roles. The multi-grade participation is something that makes the fall musical a truly unique experience.

The power of understanding different voices | Your key to leadership success
Often seen as a curiosity – interesting, but not any more strategic than the quiz in the back of a teenage magazine, personality profiling can get a bad rep. Understanding personality differences isn’t just a ‘nice-to-have’, it’s crucial for leadership success. After years of coaching executives and teams from SMEs to FTSE100 leaders, I’ve seen how personality profiling transforms both individual and team performance, often becoming the catalyst for career advancement and team excellence.

"DDR" By Kate Davis
Kate Davis has returned with new single, “DDR.” “Anyone remember the Dance Dance Revolution home mat?” she muses. “The particular crunch under the various foot force of neighbor kids. The impeccable song list. I go back to these times when life gets real.” Produced by one of Davis’s collaborators – “legend Micah Preite,” she says fondly – “DDR” follows the release of Davis’s recent single, “Cunty Bang Bang,” as well as last year’s critically acclaimed sophomore record, Fish Bowl.
Charli XCX - Brat
One of BRAT’s first lyrics is a lie. On the bouncy, giddy opener “360,” Charli XCX namedrops A.G. Cook, her frequent producer, attests to her own “city sewer slut” aesthetic, and spits, “I don’t fucking care what you think.” This is, of course, not true, mainly due to the things she says and the things she does. On her previous album’s deluxe version, too, she shouts, “I don’t give a fuck what you think about me, what you think about me, so yeah! Fuck you!” Not quite the sound of apathy.
