As the last of this wintry system departs, parts of the Lehigh Valley, Berks County and northwest New Jersey are closing it out with some moderate to heavy snow Tuesday afternoon. This will add on to total accumulations and also reduce visibilities. So far across the region, most accumulations have been from 1-3" with some locally higher amounts. There will still be more updates and new reports coming in throughout the day, so total numbers should be out later Tuesday. The morning commute was slow.

The sticky and stormy pattern continues, as the next two days will likely see the most widespread showers and thunderstorms of this lengthy unsettled stretch of weather. In fact, there is the chance for some potentially strong to severe storms later Monday, especially from the Lehigh Valley points south and east.

Wednesday was a sunny but brisk late winter day with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-40s, along with occasional wind gusts over 30 mph for the second straight day. The breeze will linger for yet another day today, but ease a bit lower with 20-25mph gusts and a return of more partly to mostly sunny skies and seasonably cool temperatures. Winds finally diminish by Friday, but clouds will increase and thicken as our next storm approaches.
