SARASOTA, Fla. (WSNN) – An 18-year-old woman is dead after attempting to change lanes on Interstate 75 in Sarasota late Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the Parrish woman was traveling north in the center lane near mile marker 208 when she attempted to move into the inside lane. During the lane change, the front of her Ford Escape struck a concrete barrier, causing the SUV to redirect and overturn several times.

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WSNN) – A 22-year-old man is dead after a fatal crash on Interstate 75 early Friday near mile marker 215 in Manatee County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Bradenton man was driving north, around 12:30 a.m., when his Hyundai Kona struck the rear of a Honda Civic. The Hyundai then traveled off the roadway, into the median and crashed into a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
