Volunteers standing shoulder to shoulder, offering food, clothing, and hope to people they have never met. It looks quieter too – a mentor showing up week after week, a coach teaching resilience, a community choosing to lean in and lend a hand. As Colorado marks its 150th year of statehood, it is worth asking what truly defines us.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Relaxed liquor laws made it easier than ever for vendors to get a license to sell booze at the New York State Fair this year. That means more cocktails, more slushies and Cuse Juice galore. We spent the better part of a day scouring the fairgrounds for new cocktails, old standards and every weird, boozy concoction in between. Here’s a sampling of some of the best stuff we found.
