ALABAMA (WHNT) — At the top of the Republican runoff election ballot, two candidates, locked in a tight race, are asking to be Alabama’s next lieutenant governor. On May 19, more than 470,000 voters cast a ballot in the race for lieutenant governor. John Wahl came out on top with 192,432 votes, but Wes Allen only trailed him by about 12,000 votes. “It is important that statewide candidates get out and go all over this great state to every community, go to every county,” Allen said.
