From Thermodynamics to Dynamics: The Victoria Mode Reshapes Pacific Side of the Arctic Winter Sea Ice Growth
1 Introduction Arctic sea ice grows from its September minimum until the March maximum, governed primarily by the sea ice initial conditions in September and the combined effects of thermodynamic and dynamic forcing during the ice-growing season (Siew et al., 2025; Stroeve & Notz, 2018). Recently, Arctic sea ice system has entered a new regime.
Adaptive control method of VSG transient power angle based on terminal voltage information perception
Abstract Virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is prone to transient power angle instability under grid fault, which weakens its voltage and frequency support ability to the grid. During the grid fault, the evolution characteristics of VSG transient power angle and terminal voltage are closely coupled with the grid fault voltage.
Research on tissue injury of low-temperature plasma ablation with different saline temperatures
Abstract To investigate tissue damage and recovery after low-temperature plasma radiofrequency ablation in saline at 0 °C,4 °C, and 25 °C, and to determine optimal temperature parameters for plasma radiofrequency ablation. A total of 72 sides of oral and buccal mucosa from 36 New Zealand white rabbits were randomly divided into a long-term observation group and an immediate execution group. Subsequently, they were assigned to three temperature groups: 0 °C, 4 °C and 25 °C.

Predicting the unpredictable: an in-depth study of meteorological data applications in electrical engineering and renewable energy
Abstract The accelerating global transition toward renewable energy has fundamentally altered the relationship between meteorology and electrical engineering. As power systems incorporate increasing proportions of weather-dependent solar and wind generation, meteorological data have evolved from peripheral inputs into indispensable operational assets for grid planning, dispatch, resilience management, and infrastructure protection.
A Thermodynamic-Kinetic Rethinking of Lattice Oxygen Mechanisms in Water Oxidation
The structural complexity of catalyst surfaces renders the mechanism of heterogeneous water oxidation highly debated. Nevertheless, three principal reaction pathways, the adsorbate evolution mechanism (AEM), the lattice oxygen mechanism (LOM), and the oxygen coupling mechanism (OCM), have been widely proposed to account for the critical O─O bond formation step during water oxidation.

Facing the “Cutting Edge:” Edge Site Engineering on 2D Materials for Electrocatalysis and Photocatalysis
1 Introduction All finite-size materials possess boundaries or edges (particularly for 2D materials). Initially, the significance of these boundaries, or edges, in influencing material properties may appear to be negligible given the relatively low proportion of edge atoms compared to bulk atoms. However, empirical and theoretical investigations have disproven this notion.
Low-side and multitone suppression in the base of the gerbil cochlea
The cochlea’s mechanical response to sound stimulation is nonlinear, likely due to saturation of the mechanoelectric transduction current that is part of an electromechanical feedback loop. The ability of a second tone or tones to reduce the response to a probe tone is one manifestation of nonlinearity, termed suppression. Using optical coherence tomography to measure motion within the organ of Corti, regional motion variations have been observed.

Insights into the Enhanced Cycling Stability of Cobalt-Free Single-Crystal Layered Oxide Cathodes at Elevated Voltage
Insights into the Enhanced Cycling Stability of Cobalt-Free Single-Crystal Layered Oxide Cathodes at Elevated Voltage Co-free single-crystal cathodes Li(NixMn1-x)O2 have been proposed as promising candidates due to remarkable thermal stability and low cost. Unfortunately, insufficient in-depth understanding on the failure mechanisms hinders the development of these cathodes.
Adaptive slot attention: Object discovery with dynamic slot number
Object-centric learning (OCL) extracts the representation of objects with slots, offering an exceptional blend of flexibility and interpretability for abstracting low-level perceptual features. A widely adopted method within OCL is slot attention, which utilizes attention mechanisms to iteratively refine slot representations. However, a major draw-back of most object-centric models, including slot attention, is their reliance on predefining the number of slots.

Selective Grafting of Phosphorus onto Ti3C2Tx MXene Enables Two-Proton Process and Enhanced Charge Storage
Selective Grafting of Phosphorus onto Ti3C2Tx MXene Enables Two-Proton Process and Enhanced Charge Storage Ti3C2Tx MXene shows great promise as a supercapacitor electrode material owing to its high conductivity and pseudocapacitive nature. Phosphorus doping is an efficient strategy to boost its capacitance due to synergistic effect of the P-O and P-C species formed.
Rethinking amodal video segmentation from learning supervised signals with object-centric representation
Video amodal segmentation is a particularly challenging task in computer vision, which requires to deduce the full shape of an object from the visible parts of it. Recently, some studies have achieved promising performance by using motion flow to integrate information across frames under a self-supervised setting. However, motion flow has a clear limitation by the two factors of moving cameras and object deformation. This paper presents a rethinking to previous works.
Unsupervised open-vocabulary object localization in videos
In this paper, we show that recent advances in video representation learning and pre-trained vision-language models allow for substantial improvements in self-supervised video object localization. We propose a method that first localizes objects in videos via a slot attention approach and then assigns text to the obtained slots. The latter is achieved by an unsupervised way to read localized semantic information from the pre-trained CLIP model.
Intragraft regulatory T cells in the modern era: what can high-dimensional methods tell us about pathways to allograft acceptance?
Introduction Solid organ transplantation can improve survival and quality of life for those with end-stage organ disease. Originally a risky procedure with short-term success due to acute rejection, over the decades this has changed dramatically with advances in medicine and an improved understanding of immunology. Early post-transplant mortality has now decreased due to the development of immunosuppressants.

Identification and Expression Analysis of Suppressors of Cytokine Signaling from Spotted Seabass (Lateolabrax maculatus)
The suppressor of cytokine signaling (SOCS) plays a negative role in the cytokine signaling pathway, preventing excessive signaling from interfering with the metabolic homeostasis of the body. By regulating the Janus kinase-signal transducer and activator of transcription pathway through negative feedback, SOCS have a significant impact on the regulation of both innate and adaptive immunity against pathogens, thus playing a crucial role in the immune response, growth, and development of the body.

Synergistic strain engineering of perovskite single crystals for highly stable and sensitive X-ray detectors with low-bias imaging and monitoring - Nature Photonics
Abstract Although three-dimensional metal halide perovskite (ABX3) single crystals are promising next-generation materials for radiation detection, state-of-the-art perovskite X-ray detectors include methylammonium as A-site cations, limiting the operational stability. Previous efforts to improve the stability using formamidinium–caesium-alloyed A-site cations usually sacrifice the detection performance because of high trap densities.
