This bird was given its name by early ornithologists who first collected this bird near Nashville, Tennessee. The Nashville Warbler (Vermivora riticapilla) likes to frequent open, mixed woods areas with undergrowth. It is also found near bogs, streams, and forest edges. Photo O Visser /Postmedia files One of the highlights of my visit to the Sapsucker Woods in Ithaca, New York was the spotting of one of my favourite birds, the Tufted Titmouse. I have enjoyed seeing this bird throughout eastern North America, especially at my friends’ home in Ohio. I have only seen this bird once in Canada.
