Minnesota’s Weather Authority has issued another Alert for today–Ken Barlow
*MINNESOTA’S WEATHER AUTHORITY HAS ISSUED AN ALERT DAY FOR TODAY DUE TO THE HEAT* Thursday’s smoke is gone from the metro,but remains across NE MN and Western WI. The heatwave, which started last Saturday when we first hit 90 degrees, will continue today and this weekend. Today will be the last day with high humidity and those heat index readings up near 100 degrees. We may see a fast moving shower or thunderstorm late tonight, but they should move away by sunrise on Saturday.

*MINNESOTA’S WEATHER AUTHORITY HAS ISSUED AN ALERT DAY FROM TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY FOR THE HEAT* *AN AIR QUALITY ALERT IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR SMOKY SKIES TODAY AND POSSIBLY FRIDAY* The heatwave, which started on Saturday when we first hit 90 degrees, will continue today and tomorrow. We are now also dealing with smoke from the wildfires in Northern MN and Canada. The air quality across most of the state is poor today, so if the heat doesn’t limit your time outside today, the smoky air will.

The heat will last into the weekend, but the humidity will begin to drop a bit. Our actual temperatures each afternoon this week will reach 90 degrees or higher.
