The Cavs and  All NBA guard Donovan Mitchell have reached an agreement on a new contract extension reportedly with $273 million dollars over 4 years per ESPN.com. In his 4 years in Cleveland since being acquired in a trade with the Utah Jazz, Mitchell has led the Cavaliers to play playoffs each year and has been named an All Star in all 4 years. He has averaged 26.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and  5.3 assists per game in his Cavs tenure.

The Cavaliers saw their season come to end on Memorial Day losing to the Knicks 130 to 93 at Rocket Arena in Cleveland. New York completed the 4 game sweep and will represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. Karl-Anthony Towns led N.Y. with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Jalen Brunson added 15 points and 5 assists and was named the Eastern Conference Finals MVP. Donovan Mitchell paced the Cavs with a game high 31 points.
