Kerri Allen’s Biography
From her first assignment to cover the Tohono O'odham nation's annual pow-wow in Arizona to witnessing a shamanic ritual on South Korea's Ganghwa Island to eating the tongue-numbing jambú plant in Rio de Janeiro, Kerri's insatiable curiosity about people, culture, art and human connection has been her driving journalistic force.
Her award-winning writing has appeared in The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Afar, HuffPost, Fodor's Travel, Budget Travel, Time Out New York, and many more.
Kerri has bylined more than 400 pieces, ranging from reviews to profiles to features, some of which have been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, French or Greek.
Kerri holds a Master's degree in global strategic communications from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Spanish from Rutgers University.
