1 dead, 1 injured in Winston-Salem crash which sent unoccupied vehicle colliding into house

One man is dead and a woman is seriously injured following a rollover crash in which a car collided with a tree and sent another, unoccupied vehicle crashing into a house, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. Officers found a 2008 Hyundai vehicle which rolled off the road and into a tree off High Point Road near the intersection with Wayside Drive shortly after midnight on Sunday. Humberto Zavala Rodriguez, 31, the driver of the vehicle, died at the scene.

Driver killed, 2 passengers injured after vehicle flees hit-and-run, Greensboro police say

A Greensboro man died and two passengers were injured in a crash near the intersection of South Benbow Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive early Saturday, according to Greensboro Police. Jefferson Lumby Zeledon, 29, crashed the vehicle while driving down South Benbow Road "recklessly and at a high rate of speed," according to police. The police also said Zeledon was driving away after hitting a vehicle in downtown Greensboro.
