The legal order for the remaining Phase 1 streets will come into effect on September 22, with new signage and road markings to be installed.

A police probe is underway after a house was broken into in Glasgow's Southside last night. Officers were called to Langhaul Avenue in Crookston at around 8.50pm on Thursday, August 27, where they found a window on the home's façade smashed. It's understood that two masked men entered the building via its back door before stealing a safe, smashing through the window and speeding off in a car, though this has not been verified by Police Scotland.

Residents of a quiet residential street were shaken last night when a fire crew sped through it to a double car fire. The cars were found alight on Alexander Street in Coatbridge before fire services were called at 11.49pm on Thursday, August 29. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that one fire engine was sent out to the call and left the scene at 12:30am when the fire had been put out.

Person dies after being struck by train on busy Glasgow rail route
A person has died after being hit by a train on a route servicing one of Glasgow's busiest stations. The incident occurred at Larbert Station around 10am today, police and paramedics rushed to the scene however the individual was pronounced dead shorty after they arrived. New 24/7 bus to Edinburgh Airport will slash travellers' fares in half

Ember have announced that they will launch their new E20 service from Buchanan Bus Station to Edinburgh Airport on September 2, with a standard adult single costing just £7.55.
