RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Central Virginia could see more severe weather Monday afternoon & evening. The storm prediction center has all of the 12 on Your Side viewing area in a level 2 (Slight) out of 5 risk for severe weather. Current models show storms firing up later afternoon into the evening. After a comfortable weekend an increase in humidity could give these storms what they need to fire up.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Heat & humidity will be rising once this Thursday. That could lead to more showers and thunderstorms firing up in the afternoon. Dew points will climb into the upper 60s to low 70s and air temperatures will climb into the mid and upper 90s. The Storm Prediction Center currently has the northern half of our viewing area in a 15% chance of severe weather. That is why we are tagging Thursday and a First Alert Weather Day.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day for the potential for afternoon and evening strong to severe storms. Saturday will be a dry and hot day. Forecast high temperatures will be in the low 90s with lower humidity thanks to a cold front moving through the area. We are watching the potential for scattered strong storms during the afternoon and evening Sunday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed our entire area in the slight risk category again.
