(CNN) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture says Shanghai Ravioli Corporation is recalling approximately 24,900 pounds of frozen, not-ready-to-eat buffalo chicken products. The products were sold to food service locations in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Shanghai Ravioli initiated the recall because the products were not inspected properly. That could result in undeclared allergens or harmful bacteria. There have been no reports of illnesses.
Soldier surprises sister while dressed as school’s mascot after yearlong deployment
PIEDMONT, Okla. (Gray News) - A high school student was surprised to see her brother, who had been deployed overseas for a year, dressed up as her school’s mascot. Piedmont Public Schools shared a video that showed someone in Wildcat costume dancing during what members of a high school cheer squad thought were mascot tryouts. The person took off the Wildcat head, and a freshman named Taylin immediately recognized him as her brother, James.

Keenia Haynes is charged with four counts of child neglect after Memphis Police say four of her children – a 2-year-old, a 3-year-old and 2-month-old twins – were left home alone Wednesday. Police were called just after 2:45 p.m. Wednesday regarding a child welfare concern.
92-year-old accused of killing his wife had shown signs of dementia, family says
GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AZFamily/Gray News) - A 92-year-old Arizona man accused of attacking and killing his wife had been showing signs of dementia, his family says. John Biggs Jr., 92, was arrested Monday after his wife, 89-year-old Jane Biggs, was found dead inside their home, according to the Goodyear Police Department. He is facing charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault.
‘Needs a good family’: Baby left behind strip mall with note from mother, court docs say
INDIANAPOLIS (Gray News) - A mother has been arrested after police say she left her infant son behind an Indianapolis strip mall with a note that read “I am unable to keep him, needs a good family.” Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested the baby’s 24-year-old mother Wednesday on a preliminary charge of neglect of a dependent.

KINGSTON, Mass. (WCVB) - Police say a Massachusetts woman who ran an in-home daycare for several years is facing charges for allegedly assaulting and abusing toddlers in her care. Karen Rezendes, 51, was arraigned Friday on various charges after she allegedly abused toddlers at her in-home daycare, according to Kingston Police. A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf. Investigators say Rezendes abused several of the children who attended her daycare in recent years.

SUNRISE, Fla. (WPLG) - A mystery surrounding hundreds of missing cinnamon rolls worth about $3,000 has apparently been solved. Julie Pierre, the owner of Roll and Dough Bakery in Sunrise, Florida, initially believed an Uber courier had stolen 300 cinnamon rolls she was sending to a farmers market. Her story went viral on social media after she reported the rolls missing last Saturday. But it turns out the courier never took off with the order – he was arrested by U.S. Border Patrol.
Chesterfield Fire and EMS contains brush fire in Matoaca
CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Chesterfield Fire and EMS spent part of their Saturday containing a brush fire in Matoaca. Earlier this evening, crews were called to Church Road for the brush fire, which burned between two and three acres of stumps and demolition debris. The agency worked with the Virginia Department of Forestry to contain the fire within a fire line, but firefighters said it will continue to smolder and burn for several days.
Shooting investigation underway after man injured in Prince George County
PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (WWBT) - The Prince George County Police Department is investigating a domestic-related shooting that happened on Saturday night. Just before 8:30 p.m., officers were called to James River Drive for a report of a man who had been shot. Officers said the man was taken to a local medical facility fighting for his life.
