Growth in several key economies across Asia in the second quarter of 2025 was boosted by tariff-inspired export activity destined not to last. With the tariff situation much clearer and domestic demand in a dull state, a more moderate growth trajectory lies ahead. Lower interest rates and broadly neutral fiscal policies are unlikely to have a significant impact on growth.
